Europe takes a quantum leap!

The procurement contract for the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) quantum computer of the LUMI-Q consortium, has been signed between EuroHPC JU and IQM Quantum Computers! ??? The LUMI-Q consortium represents a pan-European collaboration built on the successful LUMI concept involving 9 countries.

This quantum system, to be installed in 2025 at the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center in the Czech Republic, features 24 superconducting qubits in a star-shaped topology. This quantum computer will enhance European capabilities and support groundbreaking applications across science, industry, and society.
